Continuum of Care
The GEO Continuum of Care is enhanced in-custody rehabilitation programming, including cognitive behavioral treatment, integrated with post–release support services. Through the GEO Continuum of Care, we offer a nationwide capability to treat and support culturally unique, vulnerable populations through intensive in-custody, residential, and community-based treatment and support services.
From In-Custody Programming to
Post-Release Support Services
Through the GEO Continuum of Care (CoC), we offer a nationwide capability to treat and support culturally unique, vulnerable populations through intensive in-custody, residential, and community-based treatment and support services. The goal of evidence-based programming is to facilitate a successful transition to life at home, continue their treatment in the community, and maximize the impact of programs delivered to reduce recidivism.
The Continuum of Care was developed to help participants. The CoC offers participants in-custody programming as well as post-release services. In-custody programming is tailored to each participant’s needs. As a result, we provide a wide range of programs such as academic, vocational, and cognitive behavioral treatment programming as well as faith-based services and substance use coursework.
We know reentry can be challenging and that is why we continue to provide post release support services for returning citizens and start that plan early. Prior to release, case managers prepare individuals with reentry by developing transition plans as well as assisting in post-release support services as individuals.
Ultimately, the GEO approach offers programs tailored to individuals involved in the criminal justice system and vary from in-custody and intensive residential treatment to community-based supervision and non-residential reentry centers.
