Arizona’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • From July 2019 through July 2020, 122 participants released from Florence West volunteered to be engaged with Post Release Services. Those 122 participants received over 262 referrals to community partners.
  • The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO) offers employability skills, parenting, substance abuse education and counseling, nutrition/diet education, GED classes, Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes, case management, individual/group counseling, stress management, facility work programs, and job placement.

Florida’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • Provided over $400,000 of program enhancements and classroom upgrades including smart board technology for each of the Florida Continuum of Care facilities.
  • GEO’s Continuum of Care® programming in Florida includes adult learning labs, substance abuse treatment, 12 step programming, parenting classes, domestic violence prevention, anger management education, and so much more.

Georgia’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • From July 2019 through July 2020, 991 participants released from Riverbend volunteered to be engaged with Post Release Services. Those 991 participants received over 3500 referrals to community partners.
  • The Riverbend Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility offers academic and vocational programming as well as medical care, substance abuse treatment programs, and group support.

Indiana’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • From July 2019 through July 2020, 10 participants released from Heritage Trail Facility and volunteered to be engaged with Post Release Services. Those 10 participants received 24 referrals to community partners.
  • The Heritage Trail Correctional Facility offers a wide range of holistic programming to facilitate a positive change in behavior including addiction recovery services, family and social support, civic engagement, cognitive/behavioral change, education and employment.

New Mexico’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • From July 2019 through July 2020, 385 participants released from Guadalupe County and Lea County facilities volunteered to be engaged with Post Release Services. Those 385 participants received over 845 referrals to community partners.
  • The Guadalupe County Correctional Facility provides programs and recreation, volunteer and religious programs, security, safety, education, work programs, counseling and mental health services.

Oklahoma’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • From July 2019 through July 2020, 130 participants released from Lawton Facility volunteered to be engaged with Post Release Services. Those 130 participants received over 185 referrals to community partners.
  • The Lawton Correctional Facility offers programs including Adult Basic Education (ABE), Pre-GED, GED, Life Skills, Thinking for a Change, Substance Abuse, Cognitive Behavior Program, and vocational courses.

Virginia’s Investment in Prison Rehabilitation

  • Vocational training at Lawrenceville Correctional Center includes computer courses, electrical wiring, horticulture, carpentry, commercial cleaning, masonry, and plumbing.
  • Participants who do not possess a diploma can take adult basic education classes, and earn a GED during their time at Lawrenceville Correctional Center.
