GEO Group proud to name Jamie Flores and Thatiana H. Tavarez as Recipients of the 2020 Diversity in Leadership Award

The GEO Group congratulates Jamie Flores and Thatiana H. Tavarez for being selected as the two recipients of the 2020 Diversity in Leadership Award. The GEO Group has presented each awardee with a check worth $5,000. We thank both women for their incredible service and dedication to the GEO Mission.

Ms. Flores is passionate about helping children in need and is devoted to her family. Ms. Flores was praised by the U.S. Marshals (USMS) for being one of the primary reasons the group renewed a contract thanks to Ms. Flores transportation efforts. She has helped ensure USMS inmates arrive punctually for their court appearances. We thank Ms. Flores for her hard work. Read more here.

Ms. Tavarez has been a dedicated employee to the GEO Group for 10 years. Some of her achievements include obtaining five Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) to establish long-term relations with GEO and community partners, working directly with ISAP leader to direct a pilot program called “Know Your Rights”, and help launch Wrapround Services for the ISAP program.
